The club is a volunteer association and as such has a commitment to support and encourage you in developing and contributing to the education of enthusiasts through training, programs, recreation and other associated activities.

All officials that volunteer for the club must complete the online officials training course(s) as endorsed by the AMA.

To become an Accredited Official to organise camping events, you will need to either:

  1. prove your past or current event organiser qualifications; or
  2. complete an education and training program to provide you with the skills and knowledge to enable you to officiate with us.

THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO GET INVOLVED IN VOLUNTEERING WITH US

One of the Club's most valuable assets is a group of loyal and dedicated volunteers which make the Clubs activities and events happen. The three main areas of volunteering are campaigning, organising and promoting. The Volunteer Manual provides an overview of what you can expect when volunteering with the Club and answers some questions you may have before beginning volunteering with us.

WHAT IS VOLUNTEERING?

Flexible volunteering is about choosing to help other people by giving up your time, skills or expertise in a way that suits their lifestyle. There are many different types of volunteering activities and the different opportunities can involve people giving up several hours a week, or helping at one activity or event when it is convenient for the volunteer.

WHY VOLUNTEER?

Every person's motivation to volunteer is different and there are a lot of reasons to make a contribution to your community's activities. People often volunteer because they will:

  1. make a difference

  2. gain a lot of satisfaction from helping others

  3. meet people and socialise

  4. develop existing and new skills

  5. give something back to their interest
